To the great Kurzweil respondents (Jon, Billy, Dan),

I just quickly received from Amazon today the “Universal Sustain Pedal” for $20.

It works great! No special effort needed on boot up.

Thanks guys for all the info. I know where to go if I ever really want to learn more about this fantastic keyboard!

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the fast response.

I think the problem is the pedal since plugging it into the different switch pedal jacks did not do anything. It is the original Kurzweil pedal from some 20+ years ago.

I just ordered a new pedal from Amazon for $20 that I guess works with most keyboards. It is called a “Universal Sustain Pedal.”

don't do a re-set.

the prob is likely with the pedal...

is it one of the $19 normal single pedals?

I have used my Kurzweil K25XS for many years just as a Digital piano. I have no other experience with using the many features of this keyboard.

Mu Sustain Pedal all of sudden started to SUSTAIN all the time. I then turned off the Keyboard and turned it back on. Now the Sustain Pedal does not do anything.

I tried plugging the Sustain Pedal into the other 3 “Switch Pedal” connectors. They all do constant Sustain.

I read that I may have to do a Hard Reset. Is there something else I can try instead to determine if the problem is actually with the Sustain Pedal itself?

Thanks for any help!
