Check out the very end of the video. In the last 30 seconds, you see a few sketchups* of the parts that go into a guitar’s neck. It look like it might work with normal frets, or at least normal-shaped, 1-piece-per-fret thingies. Not 6-piece-per-fret divided thingies.
