Re: Audio-2-Midi?

It's not exactly what you're looking for but you might have a look at 
the videos for MIDI GUITAR 2 by JAM ORIGIN [I think].  It's 100% 
software though.  It claims to convert all six guitar strings to midi 
with VERY low latency using only the standard guitar cord from a 
standard guitar output.  The specifically state that you DO NOT need any 
kind of hex pickup.

The demo's are very impressive; but I haven't personally tried it.

Anybody here tried it?
