From the headers that they return ... they /appear to/ run Icecast

From the Icecast source repository there appears to be work underway to
include metadata in flac streams for version 2.5. 
A very old ticket (from 12 years ago) said there was no metadata
provided when streaming off/flac ... and work was done 9 months ago to
add it in 2.5 beta3

Also - I only see reference to Icy-Metadata header in their MP3 handler
... which would explain why mherger saw no difference when not setting
it.

So that implies to me that the data that is causing a problem is inside
the flac content itself.
Maybe their source to their Icecast streamer is inserting stuff into the
content as it streams it to their Icecast server and breaking things.
