Still no copy of server.log to actually see what is happening ?  why not
ost server.log - zip & attach.

ALAC is a possible issue as some player decoder have problems 
- disable "native" playback
-  enable player.source to INFO in WebUI Setting/Advanced/logging 
- play one track and post server.log for message in time before and
after trying to play track
