Dean, Yes, we need the "display this for 2 sec" function for a number of things, particularly I was thinking of error messages, but we'll need it for the playlist features too. At the moment, timers.pm is slightly broken, but basically the idea is you'll display the message, then set a timer to revert to the previous display after a few seconds. Time::Hires would be better, but I need to make sure it works okay on Win/Mac. Also for Unix we'll need to compile it for the user's system - maybe do this in setup.pl?
