Will, One thing to note about the Java volume control is that it only comunicates *to* the server. I.e. if you change the volume from the remote (or even from a differnt web skin(?)) then the java slider wouldn't know about it until the next auto-refresh of the playlist frame. If you moved the slider AFTER changing the volume from the remote, but BEFORE the page had refreshed, you would get a "jump" as you first started moving the slider. I don't think that's exactly what you described, but it sounds sort of like it might be related behavior.... can you figure out what triggers the level change?
