I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I am a very, very new newbie,

so I'll ask the question: would a 486 be an ane adequate server for the

Slimp3, say with 16 megs of RAM? The only reason I ask is that I can get a

free 486 from school, so if I can use it for this, that would be really

great.

It’s not the same architecture, but my server is running on a 50MHz microsparc with no L2 cache (Sunsparc10) and it works flawlessly, but i must recon that i have a fast 10-000 rpm drive and 160MB of ram, on a 33Mhz R3K indigo it works too but it browsing is really slow.
