Thanks to the recent release of a long overdue MacPerl update, I was able
to make the SliMP3 work in MacOS 9. The software comes as a standalone,
double-clickable application - there is nothing else to install. It should
run on any PowerMac.

If anyone on this list is running MacOS, and would like to try out the
software, you can download it at the following URL:

The only catch is that due to the lack of preemptive multitasking in MacOS
prior to OSX, the server only works well if it's in the foreground. That
means if you want to use the web interface, you'll need to do it from a
different computer.

One more thing to note is that you will need to enter the path name to
your MP3 files in the web interface, in a way that may not be familiar to
Mac users. Mac path names are separated by colons instead of slashes, so
the path will be something like:

Macintosh HD:Desktop folder:MP3 files

If you get a chance to try it, please drop me a line.

Sean
