True, but the synchronized client feature hasn't really taken shape yet,
and it's probable that synchronizing the music won't necessarily be the
same as synchronizing the display. Also, the server would need to be
configured to relay the display data to two places.

The display emulator would probably need graphics (to emulate custom
characters).

True. But with a pass-through, the client would need to know to connect
to the pass-through program, not directly to the server.
