Tim,

It look like some of the latest Linux distros are shipping with
thread-enabled perl. This means you'll have to compile the Time::HiRes
module on your system in order to get this working.

Please download Time-HiRes from the following URL:

http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/misc/Time-HiRes-01.20.tar.gz

Or you might be able to find an RPM somewhere. If you install from RPM
though, make sure that it's built for perl "i686-linux-thread-multi".

Let us know how that goes.

PS does anyone know if there's some way to disable the threading support
at run-time, and make perl think its arch is just i686-linux?
