Here is some other background info...

Running RedHat 7.2
upgraded Kernel to "2.4.9-13" (via RPM upgrade)
installed "perl-5.6.1-24" via RPM

Why do you think Perl thinks it's 'i386-linux-thread-multi' ?

Hmmm...

It seems that you are on a platform that we haven't seen before.
That HiRes.pm needs to be compiled for each platform.

It appears that perl thinks your platform is i386-linux-thread-multi
which we haven't seen before.

Can you do this:

cd /usr/local/SliMP3_Server_V2.0/lib/CPAN/arch/
ln -s i386-linux i386-linux-thread-multi

and start the server again?

Then let us know how it goes...
