Hmmm... It seems that you are on a platform that we haven't seen before. That HiRes.pm needs to be compiled for each platform. It appears that perl thinks your platform is i386-linux-thread-multi which we haven't seen before. Can you do this: cd /usr/local/SliMP3_Server_V2.0/lib/CPAN/arch/ ln -s i386-linux i386-linux-thread-multi and start the server again? Then let us know how it goes... -dean >Sorry for the Newbie question, BUT... > >I am getting the following error when trying to start the server via: perl >./server.pl & > >====================================================== >[root@cartman SliMP3_Server_V2.0]# Can't locate Time/HiRes.pm in @INC (@INC >cont >ains: /usr/local/SliMP3_Server_V2.0/lib >/usr/local/SliMP3_Server_V2.0/lib/CPAN / >usr/local/SliMP3_Server_V2.0/lib/CPAN/arch/i386-linux-thread-multi >/usr/lib/perl >5/5.6.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 >/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5. >6.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 >/usr/lib/perl5/site_p >erl .) at ./server.pl line 60. >BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./server.pl line 60. >====================================================== > > >The file it is looking for is under the directory: >====================================================== >[root@cartman SliMP3_Server_V2.0]# ll >/usr/local/SliMP3_Server_V2.0/lib/CPAN/ar >ch/i386-linux/Time/HiRes.pm >====================================================== > >Is the install not setting the @INC correctly, or is something else messed >up with my config? > >perl -v gives the following: >====================================================== >This is perl, v5.6.1 built for i386-linux-thread-multi > >Copyright 1987-2001, Larry Wall > >Perl may be copied only under the terms of either the Artistic License or >the >GNU General Public License, which may be found in the Perl 5 source kit. > >Complete documentation for Perl, including FAQ lists, should be found on >this system using `man perl' or `perldoc perl'.
