For now, I've decided on the highest quality VBR, VBR-0 stereo. (Well, I need to listen to the channel seperation/imaging to see if "dual-stereo" is with worth the heavy price - I hope not.) I haven't noticed any glitches except when using the high, constant rate encodings. mike --- In [email protected], "shanecolenz" <shane@p...> wrote: > I am using audiograbber lame 3.91 with high VBR encoding as well, I > noticed a few tracks that sort of stopped playing on the slim and so > tried them in winamp and noticed at the time they stopped was > consistent with the bitrate hovering around 320kbps > > Alas it doesn't do it consistently on the same file playing back on > the slimp3 and doesn't seem to matter whether I'm using the full > release server or one of the last 3 daily snapshots. > > > > --- In [email protected], Sean Adams <sadams@w...> wrote: > > > > Mike, > > > > I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is with 320kbps MP3s. > They're > > supposed to work (the buffer is fast enough, etc.) but I've found > that > > sometimes you get those skips you're describing.
