MP3 streams aren't a requirement for me.  Cheaper and Open Source are
always great, however.  

I notice the Audiotron does have an optical out, while the SliMP3 doesn't.

Smaller isn't much of a benefit for me.  As long as it's a standard
size audio/video component or smaller, it'll fit in an AV cabinet.
