Sean, Using DHCP gave me the same results. New firmware fixes the problem. Without thinking too critically, I mistakenly assumed that I needed IP connectivity to flash the firmware. If you were to cut and paste from firmware_update.pl to the site the fact that the bootloader will advertise it's MAC address you might prevent half-wits like me from pestering you before they tried to upgrade the firmware...Sorry to bother you. Thanks. And again, great product. --rdr ----- Original Message ----- From: Sean Adams To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2002 9:16 AM Subject: Re: [slimp3-users] Static IP not Ping-able Randy, You say it doesn't work with a static IP... does it work with DHCP? Can you try flashing your firmware to 1.2? Sean On Wed, 6 Feb 2002, Randy Roy wrote: > Hello, > > I've managed to get into a state where I cannot even ping my SliMP3.
