socket: Unknown error at server.pl line 197

I am trying to run the slimp3 1.7 server on a win2K box, but the 
slimp3 server errors out on start up with the following message:

SliMP3 Server starting up...
socket: Unknown error at server.pl line 197, <STRING> line 510

Line 197 references "my $udpsock" and line 510 
references "SliMP3::Discovery::gotHello($client)"  both of which are 
beyond my current ablity to deciper...  I had been running the 1.7 
windows installation beta, but it stopped working, the process dies 
after the perl2exe popup.

I have 1.7 running on my XP workstation, but would really like to 
get the slimp3 server running on my server... Any suggestion on how 
to troubleshoot this would be appreciated.
