Problem with SliMP3?

Hi all: I got my SliMP3 recently and have just been setting it up. I'm 
having a problem: it was working fine before, but now whenever I start it 
up, it fails. I get the welcome message and then the menu that offers the 
startup or setup things, bur whichever way I go after that it fails. If I 
proceed with the startup, the screen goes blank. If I go to the setup menu, 
I can change the options, but whenever I do the right to exit thing, 
(whichever config method I try), the screen goes bank and it won't respond 
to anything: the only way I can get a response is by pulling the plug.

I figure that the flash memory may have got corrupted somehow. Is there any 
way to rest the device back to the factory settings? Or does anybody out 
there have any other ideas?
