Advantages of using iTunes integration with SLIMP3: 1. Automatic update when your music library changes. No rescanning necessary. 2. Songs can be stored anywhere, not just in a single specific folder. 3. Automatic importing of iTunes playlists, smart and otherwise. 4. No configuration required, just install the SLIMP3 software and start listening. Disadvantages of using iTunes integration with SLIMP3: 1. iTunes chokes on large libraries, it can get quite slow after about 15,000 songs, depending on your system. 2. Can't navigate the specified music folder to find music.
