It does let you change the tags of your collections both before you burn them, and afterwards. It's actually quite a good bit of s/w. (Their H/W is damn good too if you want a MP3 device for your Audi / BMW / VW/ Lincoln & some Fords plus most Sony headunits) It speaks to you even :) www.phatnoise.com http://www.phatnoise.com/products/software/download_sw.php (s/w d/l) Nick Message: 20 Date: Mon, 17 Feb 2003 19:47:40 -0500 From: Rob Funk <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Want new MP3 tag genre Andy Foulke <[email protected]> wrote: >Does anyone know how to create a new MP3 tag genre? The tags are governed by the ID3 de facto standard. ID3 version 1 has a predefined list of genres from which you must choose; I think version 1.1 extended that list. (And yeah the list is pretty bad.) In ID3 version 2 you can use the ID3v1 genres or use your own. I've never had a problem with the Slimp3 displaying user-defined ID3v2 genres. You just need a program that writes ID3v2 tags. I don't know anything about easytag or other non-Unix tag editors though.
