Re: Dead DX7 Mark I - Repair questions -- Help!

Just another quick follow-up. Again, things seemed all set with it this afternoon...but I shut it off for 10 minutes and then everything went to hell with the "Ram is Corrupt!" message - and I lost all the internal voices with some strange behavior. 

 BTW - I checked the solder connections at the board where I soldered in the battery wires... and it is getting the voltage there. Maybe it's not a good connection? Is there an easy way to check for the correct and constant voltage or connections at the ICs on the E! board - before having to pull the whole motherboard out and checking the solder points underneath the board?
 

 Finally, if anyone thinks I should not do an E-ectomy at this point, just let me know.
