FED UP JAY "QUITS"
-------------------
An interview with Jay from mid-July is printed in the
Melbourne Herald Sun magazine (Australia). Much of the
article is complaining about Sony (which from the article
he is literally begging to leave!), including their lack
of band promotion in the US. On the touring front, it
looks like there'll with be nothing for a while after
2002 - "I'm stopping in December mate, Australia is it,
bye everyone, see you later, end of story. If I come back
then I do, if I don't I won't." Scans of the article can

GORILLAZ
--------
On the Gorillaz "Laika Come Home" album released by
Spacemonkeyz, two of the band members are Gavin Dodds
(Jamiroquai guitarist before Simon Katz - who is now
with Ms Dynamite) and DJ-Dzire. In addition to the main
members of the band, some other past Jamiroquai members
have helped on the album including Simon Katz, Martin
Shaw, Mike Smith and Stuart Zender (who's also with
Ms Dynamite). It's just one big happy family.



STU ZENDER AZUR PROJECT REVIEW - AND DOWNLOAD

Jamiroquai.com have a bit of an exclusive - the web
master has managed to get hold of a copy of Stu's
Azur project. Not only do you get a full review,
but he's also put up a 15 second sample for you
to download.

JAY MOONS

Jay spent an evening last weekend at the Strawberry
Moons bar in central London. For some reason more and
more bars/clubs are putting photos online and this place
is no exception...

REMIXES FEEL SO GOOD
--------------------
Sony Music have released a promo vinyl of Feel So Good, with three
remixes by Knee Deep - Classic Dub, Classic Vocal and Dub. They're
really impressive and look set to storm the UK club charts over
the coming weeks. Full length RealAudio versions of two of the
remixes are now available on the FUNKIN.COM downloads page.

CAMPAIGN TO BREAK US MARKET (AGAIN)
-----------------------------------
Sky News (UK) are reporting that after the inclusion
of Little L in the soundtrack to the movie The
Sweetest Thing, "radio stations in the US have begun
to playlist the track. So happy are Sony Records,
that they are now planning an extensive marketing campaign
to break Jay and the band big time in the US next year."

WE LIKE Q

The 13th Annual Q Awards are taking place on 21 October 2002 and
if you would like to see Jamiroquai nominated for an award such
as Best Live Act, then head over to the Q Awards web site to make
your nominations. The nominees short-list will be announced a
few days before the awards take place.

NAGOYA CONCERT CANCELLED
------------------------
According to Chunichi newspaper (Japan) on 06 September,
the concert at the Aichi Prefecture Arts Center in Nagoya
(Japan) on 01 November has been cancelled. The other two
dates in Japan currently remain unaffected.



GQ - MEN OF THE YEAR
--------------------
On Monday 02 September Jay attended the GQ Magazine
Men Of The Year Awards that were held at the London's
Natural History Museum. The GQ web site has a slideshow
of images where Jay is in a few of the shots. Naturally
The Sun newspaper (UK) reported on Jay's appearance with
a story about Jay chatting with a girl he met at the awards!
