Welcome to the Jamline Newsletter bringing you
all the latest news and gossip about the band.

It's my turn to do the newsletter as Ezbe is
having all kinds of computer troubles at the
moment :(  She'll be back with us ASAP.

The European tour is now well underway and we've
not heard many comments about new keyboardist
Matt Johnson, so as they say, no news is good
news.

Apologies in advance if any of this is a

EUROPEAN TOUR

The band have now played dates in Germany,
France, Portugal (their first ever gig in the
country) and Spain.

As you know from last week's newsletter, sound
clips from the Rock am Ring festival were posted
at the funkin site.  The site now has a video
of the performance of Deeper Underground from
the gig as broadcast on MTV Germany this week.

It's a pretty large download (10.5mb), but is
the first live festival video clip I've seen in
a long time:

The Festimad festival in Spain from Saturday
night was apparently broadcast on Spanish radio
and also streamed from the Festimad.es web site.
I tried to record the audio stream but nothing
seemed to work.  There may be some audio from
the gig on-line at the Festimad site but as I
write this, the audio links are broken :(

However, an alternate source of some audio has
been found (yay!), so we should have some clips
next week to download and listen to.

The band now have a few days rest before they
head over to Verona in Italy on 8th June - a
gig which is rumoured to be filmed for a
forthcoming Jamiroquai DVD release out later
in the year.

Jay has already taken advantage of the break
in the schedule by attending the Monaco Formula
One Grand Prix - to which he was spotted and
interviewed on television.

CARLING HOMECOMING TV REMINDER
-------------------------------
The Carling Homecoming TV show, which promises "behind-the-scenes
footage, interviews and vox-pops with friends and fans" will be on
Channel 4 (UK), at 23:40 on 6th June.

For those not in the UK, I have a sneaky
suspicion that highlights of the show will
surface on the web shortly after the
broadcast ;)

CARLING HOMECOMING SET-LIST CONTINUED...

Last week we gave you the set-list -- this week
here's a signed copy!

Francois Wiart has just put on-line a scanned
set-list from the Carling Live gig, signed by
Rob, Nick, Derrick and Matt Johnson.

"The actual concert was slightly different...
They didn't play 'Bad Girls' but played
'Travelling' instead, which means 'Deeper
Underground' was finally the encore..."

CARLING HOMECOMING AND GERMAN FESTIVAL PHOTOS

uploaded photos taken at the Carling Homecoming
and recent German festivals.

There are no photos of the Carling Homecoming
performance as the security guards were too
strict (boooo), but there are some nice shots
of some of the lucky people who got to go to the
gig, and also some of the band members in
conversation with said lucky people after the
show.

In all my years (yes, I'm old!) of going to
concerts, the past few months has been amazing
in that the band have really opened up to the
fans.  Repeat after me... I LOVE JAMIROQUAI!

NEW SINGLE RELEASE DATE
------------------------
We know that the fourth single from A Funk
Odyssey will be Corner Of The Earth, and the UK
should get the release on Monday 8th July.  This
was printed in The Sun newspaper (UK) as part
of an advert for one of the Summer gigs in
England.

MAIN VEIN REMIXES
------------------
An official promo 12" vinyl release of three
Main Vein remixes has just surfaced:

- Knee Deep Classic Mix (6.39)
- Knee Deep Vocal Dub (6.45)
- Knee Deep Dub (6.47)

It is likely that some of these mixes will form
part of the next single release.  Another promo
12" vinyl is due in the next couple of weeks.
