intrigued by bruce's post - just out of curiosity i roughly figured out how old each of the artists were at the time the album was released: joni - 31 to 32 years old (date of birth 11/7/1943; "hissing" released in november 1975) kate - 24 years old (dob 7/30/1958; "dreaming" released on 9/13/1982) jane - 31 years old (dob 10/12/1955; "walking" released in january 1987). that kate has always been so precocious! (or maybe 24 years in england is like living 31 years in canada. whatever that means.) from another perspective, bruce's chosen albums are (if my count is right) joni's 6th album, kate's 4th, and jane's 4th. what does this all mean? ask bruce! -- michael When we made love Sometimes it was great Just once or twice I would have called it second rate Anyway the days passed by in peace I never though you needed More release I would of tried a little harder I would have cried a little louder I would have lied with more aplomb I, I, I, I, I, I, I should have known -- Pretenders, "I Should Of", from the album _Loose Screw_ (2002)
