How did you find Jane?

I was waiting tables at a nice-ish place in the early '80s.  Over the
sound system, the new-age-y bartender put on a cassette she mixed
herself.  Had some Joe Jackson, some Andreas Vollenwieder (sp?  new agey
harpist), some Jane Weidlin (sp?  of the Go-Go's), and some Suzanne
Vega.  I kept getting caught up in 'The Waitress', thinking that the
album she taped must've had a scratch, cuz this woman sounds like she's
repeating 'waitress' about a bazillion times!  then I sat down with the
Jane songs, and fell in love with 'Mimi'.  she's been with me ever
since!
