The end?

So what does this all mean? The selling of instruments, the never-
materializing "Lily" album . . . 

. . . "Maria," her last studio album of original material, is now over ten 
years old. 

Are we to assume that there will never be any more Siberry material released 
to the world, save for the occassional concert or children's soundtrack piece? 

I too was very sad. I hope she is well, that she is feeling fulfilled with 
whatever she chooses to focus on now. The music industry wasn't exactly 
lucrative for her, and I understand that a person needs to eat and keep a roof 
over their heads -- and I can empathise with the frustration an artist might 
feel when their creations are not embrassed by the public at large. While she 
has her loyal following, Jane never "made it" in the world of popular music. 
This is a shame. So, how long can one's muse carry on without recognition, or 
merely on the goodwill of record companies or "patrons." 

My Siberry collection still gets lots of play here at home. And often I 
include pieces (including longer, more complicated works like "Bird in the 
Gravel") on mixed CDs -- friends go, "Hey, what's that?" . . . 

I would still love to hear a studio version of "In My Dream" (after having 
heard it in concert a million times).
