I have the LIve! Improvised! bootleg (the Reims concert) on the OH BOY label and I thought I'd give it a whirl as I haven't played it for yonks. The music is fascinating and the sound quality remarkably good - the occasional ovverloading notwithstanding - BUT my CD player began muting erratically about a third of the way through CD1.to the extent that I couldn't put up with it any further. The disc surface looks OK - no obvious scratches, fingerprints etc - so maybe it's the player. CD2 is fine. I think I'll go ahead and get the set. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] [tadream] To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, November 07, 2015 11:52 AM Subject: [tadream] Re: New official bootlegs: Reims Cathedral, December 1974 & Mozarthalle, Mannheim October 1976 (4CD) Tree 30 Reims and Tree 13 Mannheim come already from excellent sources. Major increase in quality can't be expected. Especially because almost certainly no new (better) sources were used. If there is an improvement at all, it's insignificant.
