The Glasgow gig was recorded by a=20 Scottish radio station, Radio Clyde if I recall, and I think 45 mins or=20 so were broadcast on the radio. I had this for ages before the recent=20 ones showed up but I could never actually get it verified by anyone that=20 it was Glasgow, largely I guess, as I seemed to have the only copy (or=20 at least noone else was admitting to it). I presume that the rest of it=20 has now been "dug up" so that'd be great to hear as the one I had (well,=20 have) is great stuff. It is wonderful that you are able to keep an=20 archive of the non-officially released concert recordings. I do the same=20 thing with removing the tree version from rotation when the show gets=20 released officially. I hope the "Official Bootleg Series" keeps going,=20 especially with shows sourced from radio or soundboard. Wouter Bessels=20 has done a great job with mastering those sets. I'm bummed that In Search of Hades is so expensive. I'm interested=20 only in the live material and the long-out-of-print music, so that means=20 about half the set is not worth it to me. I'm sure that Steve Wilson did=20 an awesome job with the remastering of the albums, and probably sound=20 much better than the copies I have, but I have a hard time justifying=20 double-dipping those albums (or triple in some cases). If my finances=20 were in better shape I'd probably jump on it. It's amazing that these older concerts are showing up all of the=20 sudden, and in excellent quality to boot. This goes for the out-of-print=20 music as well. I guess Wilson had access to archives that no one else=20 did. Disappointing since we could've had bonus material that was much=20 more relevant on previous Virgin box sets (<cough>Tangents<cough>).=20 Didn't TD have a BBC Peel Session as well? I was shocked when the Glasgow 74 show popped up. I had no idea there=20 were any other earlier shows that were recorded so pristinely besides=20 what was originally released in the TT. I was in disbelief at first,=20 thinking that perhaps someone in recent times performed a concert in the=20 spirit of classic TD. Where are these recordings coming from all of the=20 sudden? If Glasgow gets an official release, I'll definitely buy it...As=20 long as it's not embedded within an expensive set with lots of music I=20 already have in my library. As a slight side-note... I enjoyed reading Edgar's stories about some=20 of the old concerts in his book. It gave me a new perspective whenever I=20 listen to them (like the epic 'This Is Spinal Tap' situations TD dealt=20 with in Australia 75). Regards, Dave B.
