Max Value of MAXLINE?

Hi, 

I have changed the value for MAXLINE ind bb.h to 32768 an verything works
fine. Now I have to increase the value but when I change it to e.g. 65536,
my bbd ignores all data that is sent to it. BB Version is 18d4 on HP-UX
11.00 64Bit.
Any idea's?
