RE: {bb} Purple alerts

Larry,

I believe I don't have the logging configured correctly as I have had not=
hing on the client that is showing a log file.  Do you happen to have the=
 steps needed to turn this on?  I defined in the client bbntcfg.exe the l=
ocation to save the log but nothing.

Have you checked the box to create the client log in the BB client config=
?=A0 The client writes the BB file every cycle.=A0 The drawback is that y=
ou have to catch it while the purple condition is occurring as the client=
 overwrites the log each time.

Larry, The IP is the same as the bbhost alias.=A0 I have noticed that the=
re is a heavy load on the server caused by another app that seems to take=
 up the processors time, however when I stop the app for any length of ti=
me I still receive purple.

Check the IP of the message when it goes purple.=A0 You may have had BB s=
tatuses sent from a=A0 machine with the same BBHOST Alias as the active o=
ne.=A0 The absence of a report from this old machine might be causing the=
 purple alerts.

Just recently I have been getting purple alerts on monitored nt clients r=
unning v1.08d and the bb server running nt 2003 bb v2.3
Up to last Saturday everything was running just fine, now I get the purpl=
e alerts on everything except for connectivity.=A0 There has been no chan=
ges to the server or any of the clients, and the history shows them going=
 purple every minute or so the back to green.=A0=20
Total number of clients is 55 being monitored for nothing more then conne=
ctivity, disk space and SMTP.=A0 The clients are configured to show green=
 on all events and cpu.
Does anyone have an idea as to where I can start in trying to get this re=
solved?=A0=20
