Is beepcore-c still alive? What happened to Huston?

   Well, I read several things:

   beepcore-c is in the debian/unstable distribution whereas roadrunner
   is not. Would it be a problem to create a debian package for roadrunner? I
   don't think so.

I did most of the packaging for roadrunner, but I never submitted the
package.  If anyone wants to pick this up I'll be happy to hand it
over.

I ended up choosing beepcore-c over roadrunner, primarily because
beepcore-c had a simpler design and was reasonably well documented.  I
spent some time banging my head against roadrunner and concluded that
(a) I couldn't entirely figure out how to use it, and (b) the parts I
could understand seemed to be imposing an unpleasant style on me.

As for continued maintenance of beepcore-c, I still have a few items
to work on, specifically finishing the changes for windows, and fixing
this hanging problem.  Unfortunately I've been completely swamped at
work (I'm involved in three different projects), plus I have to
maintain my debian packages, plus ever since our second child was born
I haven't had any free time at home.  So I'm not sure when I'll be
able to finish this.

On the positive side, at some point this year I will be deciding
whether to use beepcore-c for one of my work projects.  If I do decide
to use it, I will suddenly have some time to spend fixing it.
