segfaults

I'm getting a few segfaults, and wondered if anyone had advice for how to look
for them.  Most of the problems stretch across threads, where I don't have too
much experience debugging.

This backtrace was generated using beepd and beepng, with the syslog-raw
profile.  All of it pretty stock.

the session (sess, gotten from indication->session) is pretty corrupted; all
function pointers are into main_arena (instead of to functions that make sense),
strings are garbage, etc.

Any suggestions are welcome.
