The best suggestion I have heard so far was from Darren, "base".

If we are going to rename base I would like to do any other directory
restructuring at the same time so we don't have to do this again for a
while. I can make the changes to the devstudio project files if someone else
is willing to make the changes to the autoconf stuff.

I can test it out before we do a release.
