I can't say I've had any problems with spam on this list. Doesn't
everyone run a spam filter these days? (I recommend bogofilter).
Looking through my logs it only seems to be about 3-4 spams per week
on this list.

As a long term member, (I've been using BNR2 since 0.11.something), I
don't want to see this list moderated - it only discourages first-time
posters.
