Newshosting's $14.95 plan is only 45 days retention, at least according

Anchordudes is likely either confused about their completion though, or misreading whatever tool he used. as Supernews tends to be one of the best -- However, they filter sporge very consistently, which means if you use a "What articles are on 'x' that aren't on 'y'" without looking at the content, you'll get lower numbers for Supernews.

Depending on the group, you'll see up to 150 days of retention at Supernews.  However, for multipart groups it's typically ~35 days or so.

http://www.supernews.com/support/retention.cgi gives you stats, although you'll sometimes see longer retention, that counter shows when articles are starting to expire.  Ish.

My experience with Newshosting was that they fell short on their expectations pretty substantially, however, that was before they were bought out -- From what I hear they've gotten much better.
