I do a similar thing as you but I DON'T open the properties on > the thousands of parts/items marked for download. Just hit the letter > "U" for unmark then "M" for mark. That way just regets everything included the parts that have been got and gets them again, (not much of a big deal I just dont see the need to waste the BW), or nothing at all from the times I gave it a go, but YMMV.
