I can't tell you how many times over the years I've had to just delete and
re-do the database. It's why I was hoping they'd make a few changes such as
allowing for the use of an external database. Newsman Pro lets you use
SQLServer or MySQL as well as its own internal database. In the time I was
trying it out I never had to delete the database.

I still have hope that development will continue on BNR as there is nothing
really quite like it and I prefer it even though Newsman Pro has all the
features I want.

Subject: [BNR] Database problem

When I attempt to run BNR3, I get the error message "unable to open
database" on the BNR3 banner screen. The database can be opened with sqlite
and can be vacuumed just fine.

Is there a way to repair the database for BNR or am I hosed and have to
start over witt anew database ?

Thx...........Bob
