I had the same problem like you. I do not know why it is like that but it take all the space on my pc. I deleted it for now, but don't have permanent solutions.

            I see this when I try to download headers in any large group, I sat 

there while my PC rattled the disk and I got a low disk space alert 

telling me I was about to run out. i looked around and saw that in 

about 8 minutes it had created 25K small tmp files in the 

\WINDOWS\TEMP directory. The files began with name pr8a00.tmp and the 

names incrememnted by 1 in hex. I think it would have kept on going 

like this until it crashed my system or ruined my hard drive.



Anyone else see this? Anyone have a solution other than 'don't use 

BNR2"?
