BNR3 does need more work. Patrick and Jeff admitted this years. The version of BNR3 that we're using was not a finished product. I'd have to look for the thread but Patrick I believe said that it was mainly a test version for the new database and the new thread grouping (which still could use some improvements and tightening up). It doesn't have all the features BNR2 does I don't believe. One thing I miss sorely is the ability to rebuild the queue. Perhaps this was added and there's an option but BNR2 would rebuild the queue if needed on startup. Although now my computer doesn't really crash often I do many things while leaving BNR to download in the background. Sometimes I run something that locks up my system. The articles are still flagged in the database. The queue just needs to be rebuilt. Again BNR2 did this. I remember asking years ago about this and was told it hadn't been added yet and that BNR3 was not feature complete. This was something like 2 years ago. > running for ages without problem (last time it was left for a very long > run it did 28 days 13 hours while I was away and just short of a TB) I vac > and frag (via a bat file) the msglst's (sqLite DB's) around once a month > (cant remember last time I had to setup a new sqLite DB gotta be more than > 18~20 months) and use contig to defrag the msglst as part of its start up > so its always as fast as a new DB even if its >800 MB.
