As Dave already wrote, hellanzb does ignore the PAR set (only the small PAR 
file is downloaded for checking the main files) and downloads only the main 
object.
After that, it checks the files and if a repair is needed, it gets only the 
minimim number of PAR files required to do the repair.

As for the samples, I didn't try to download such post yet, but it seems 
that these are downloaded together with the main object.
