cacti 0.8.8a on osx 10.8.4 Server

Greetings all,

I have installed cacti on OSX 10.8.4 Server and its working great.
Just a quick question as I may have overlook a step in the how tos i
have been reading.
I modified the config.php file for my user name and password but i can
only connect with admin and my password. Why is that ? Wouldn't the
server read the config.php file for configuration instead ?

# mysql -u cactiuser -p --> gives me connection with user i have created
in the mysql database and input in the config.php file.
