First of all, I like your ideas and I totally agree with you that there
is much to-do. However, I wonder if there is no other possibility than
to fork the entire project. I'm really thankful to all the effort Konst
put into this project, but if he is too busy these times, wouldn't it
be better to look for a new maintainer and to assign right permissions
to CVS? If not, the only possibility to work on the project would be
the the fork initiated by David.

Yes, especially for Jabber! I have to deal with the same problem. A
ugly work-around is to start multiple instances of centericq in a
screen but with different base directories. This is not really "nice" :-)

What kind of improvements do you mean?

First of all, a better documentation of the keybindings would be nice for
end-users. But I agree with you.
