Hi Stéphane, Stéphane Bisinger wrote: >> Another thing that is a problem: with screen, ssh and centericq, the >> available UTF-8 version seems not to work correctly. This mean that utf8 character are visually correct, but the centericq code does not treat them as multi-byte characters, so the display messes up. for example when you insert an accented character, the cursors stays one position forward. Yes, I know that :) I've been reading this ML for quite a long time ;) But I meant some other issues. E.g. I am using centericq on a server within screen. I have to open a ssh session to a "middle" server, to be able to connect to my centericq-server. <my computer> -> <host1> -> <centericq-server> -> <screen> -> <centericq>. All encodings in between are set to UTF-8 (including my pc) but centericq doesn't work. If I switch one (and ONLY one) of the encodings either on host1 or centericq-server to ISO-8859-15 and still using centericq-utf8 from Debian, it is working... Very strange to me. If there is no second ssh session (directly connect from my computer to centericq-server) everything is fine. > Actually it's not hard, maybe when we'll have a wiki I'll be writing a very quick "getting started with git" page, showing the basic command we'll need. Also, Julien Lemoine (the Debian mantainer) is a nice guy who you can talk to about that. I'll try ;) >> I would also like to point out another message in this thread. After all writing hooks for those libraries should not be so difficult... Maybe after utf8 support I'll try to play with this! If you could do that, it'll be great and I would love to test it :) Greetings -Sascha- _______________________________________________ Cicq mailing list Cicq-xGejAJT2w6wWP6gT/[email protected] http://mailman.linuxpl.org/mailman/listinfo/cicq Questions?
