Try this:

target  mail.mydom.net
    target-type = "ucd_System"
    short-desc = "Test"
    server      = mail.mydom.net

See the Defaults file that you're using for more information - you
should see 'server = "" ' in the --default-- section - or if you're
using a different Defaults file than I am, you will see whatever
variable that is used for the hostname or IP address.
