Re: monthly graph creation

I've just started doing that type of setup as well.  I need to know who is
using a FlexLM license, how many they are using, and the length of time.
Basically I need to get the 'user of the week' to find out if anyone has
been hogging limited licenses unnecessarily.

I've started doing this first by using a Perl script which runs every 5
minutes to get a list of users of that license and create a directory with
an appropriate Defaults file and then to compile cricket.  Cricket then runs
and samples if that user is using a license.  As a result I have a
collection of user rrd 'objects'.

Next task is to write a script which integrates the area under each graph
and presents the results as a histogram for the week.  I can call rrdtool
from a script to get the data from the rrd object and add up the usage over
a time interval.  I'd been planning to use gnuplot to generate a graph to
present on a web page.

I'm running this on a RHEL server.
