Review the install instructions to make sure you've followed them. I'd
really suggest not running cricket as root. WRT the error above, I'd
guess that you haven't set $gCricketHome properly, /root/cricket-config
directory doesn't exist or you have some unusual permissions on
/root/cricket-config/ that prevent the root user from creating the
config.db.lock file.
