I set up my first ldap directory using an article I found on DevShed. I can query the base like this: ldapsearch -x -b 'dc=melonfire,dc=com' and get back all of the entries I made into the directory. But every time I try to set up Directory Administrator to use that directory, I only get: Connection failed: Protocol error This is only to be used on my local box, so I set the server address as 127.0.0.1 and the search base as dc=melonfire,dc=com. My connection dn is cn=root,dc=melonfire,dc=com. Am I just making a stupid newbie error here? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Parasoft Error proof Web apps, automate testing & more.
