Passing onto the DA list for the OpenIT people to read, along with the others.

I believe we could change the lists to not deny unsubscribed users, but instead
put them in a queue awaiting Accept/Deny permission from a mailing list admin
(anyone volunteer to take that job? ;)). As it is, denyone all unsubscribed
users keeps the spam and work down for the admins, and keeps things easy.  You
may want to ask the ML admins why your account (and your account alone, it
seems) has problems posting to the list (though it sounds like you already know
why. ;) Perhaps change your external hostname for your mail server, if that's
feasible?).
