Yes, my response was  poorly worded in this regard. What  I meant to say
that to  claim ``convention'' and  then accuse  DJB of not  following it
didn't hold, because,  well, there is inded a clean  target in the qmail
Makefile, which I quoted directly from the qmail-1.03 source's Makefile.
