Hi Maurice, The SIDN doesn't require TCP connections as far as I know. Isn't this just a warning? Our authoritive nameservers (also with NL-domains) are also not using DNS TCP connectivity. -- Kind regards, Harm van Tilborg Maurice Lucas - TAOS-IT wrote: > Hello, > > > I have tinydns setup but did receive this error from my dns register (SIDN the dutch .nl register) > > NAMESERVER:NO_TCP > The name server failed to answer queries sent over TCP. This is probably due to the name server not correctly set up or due to misconfgured filtering in a firewall. It is a rather common misconception that DNS does not need TCP unless they provide zone transfers - perhaps the name server administrator is not aware that TCP usually is a requirement. > > How do I set this up? > Tinydns doesn't listen to the tcp port only to udp if I'm correct? > > With kind regards, > met vriendelijke groet, > > Maurice Lucas > > TAOS-IT > ……………………………………………………………….... > Paulus Buijsstraat 191 > 2613 HR Delft > www.taos-it.nl > KvK Haaglanden nr. 27254410 > > Denk aan het milieu; is het afdrukken van deze e-mail echt noodzakelijk? > >
